thomas styner
Thomas Styner is Chief Executive Officer of AmmoDyn, Corp. and a retired U.S. Army Colonel with deep experience across Foreign Military Sales, security cooperation, defense diplomacy, intelligence leadership, and aviation operations.
Thomas brings decades of experience helping allied customers, defense organizations, and industry partners navigate complex U.S. Government sales channels. His background includes advising on international sales strategy, Foreign Military Sales opportunities, sole-source contract development, customer requirements, and the use of U.S. standard and non-standard defense products.
Before joining AmmoDyn, Thomas led Styner Consulting LLC, where he advised customers on international defense sales and FMS execution. He also served as Senior Director of International Foreign Military Sales and Customer Relations at Elbit Systems of America, supporting the company’s international FMS customer market and helping align business unit capabilities with customer requirements through U.S. Security Cooperation Offices, combatant commands, implementing agencies, and government funding programs.
Thomas’s government service includes senior roles with the Defense Intelligence Agency, the U.S. Embassy in Islamabad as Deputy Chief of the Security Cooperation Office, and the U.S. Embassy in New Delhi as Army Defense Attaché and Strategy & Policy Advisor. In these roles, he supported bilateral defense engagement, military equipment programs, strategic liaison, and U.S. defense policy coordination with senior military and government stakeholders.
His operational background includes service as an AH-1/AH-64 attack helicopter commander, operations officer, and pilot, with more than 2,000 accident/incident-free flight missions. Thomas combines field-tested operational understanding with senior-level experience in defense sales, government coordination, and allied-nation capability development.

Sinan Akiman serves as Chairperson of AmmoDyn, Corp., where he helps guide corporate strategy, governance, partner relationships, and long-term growth for a regulated trade and distribution company serving the U.S. defense and commercial market ecosystem.
Sinan brings more than 30 years of experience across global markets, treasury, trading, asset management, hedge fund operations, capital raising, balance-sheet strategy, risk governance, and structured transactions in the United States and Turkey. His background allows him to connect corporate leadership, institutional partners, financial counterparties, and operational teams with a disciplined approach to growth and execution.
In addition to his leadership at AmmoDyn, Sinan is CEO/CIO of Advanced Beta Funds LLC and Senior Managing Partner of Advanced Beta Group LLC. He advises institutions and private principals on global macro strategy, risk management, balance-sheet structuring, capital formation, and investment-bank counterparty relationships.
Earlier in his career, Sinan held senior leadership roles at Garanti Bank BBVA and Garanti BBVA Asset Management, where he led FX, fixed income, derivatives, structured products, treasury marketing, hedge funds, mutual funds, private portfolios, and product development. He has managed large teams across bank treasury/trading and asset management and overseen portfolios exceeding $1.5 billion.
