IDENTIFICATION REQUIREMENT
All customers are required to upload a clear photo of a valid state-issued photo ID with their order.
If you are purchasing multiple calibers, please upload your ID to at least one of the products in your cart.
If no ID is uploaded, your order will be placed on hold and our team will contact you by email to request the required identification.
Your ID will be used solely to verify that the buyer’s information matches the checkout details and that state and federal age requirements are met for the corresponding ammunition type.
Age Restrictions
Federal law mandates that individuals must be at least 18 years old to purchase rifle and shotgun ammunition, and at least 21 years old for handgun ammunition.
Customers will be asked to enter DOB at the checkout page. AmmoDyn reserves the right to refuse sales and cancel any order that is out of compliance with federal regulations.
california RESIDENTS
California residents may complete orders in one of two ways:
Pickup directly from the AmmoDyn Warehouse
Select “Self Pickup” at checkout. Your order will be processed and released after a successful DOJ eligibility check conducted at our licensed facility
Ship to an FFL of your choice
Select the shipping option at chekout. Enter the name, address, and contact information of the California FFL dealer you wish to receive your order. The dealer will process ammunition transfer and perform the required DOJ eligibility check before releasing your order to you.
ID Requirement:
You must present valid CA government-issued photo identification at the time of pickup (Driver’s License or other CA-issued ID).
DOJ Eligibility Check Requirement:
All California pickups require an approved DOJ ammunition eligibility check via the DROS Entry System (DES). Fees are as follows:
Standard Eligibility or COE Verification Check: $5 (non-refundable)
Basic Eligibility Check: $19 (non-refundable)
DROS fees will be collected by the dealer at the time of processing and pickup.
Q: Hasn’t California’s ammunition eligibility check requirement been lifted?
A: Not yet. A Ninth Circuit panel struck down the law in July 2025, but the State sought rehearing, which pauses implementation; until the court issues its final mandate, CA DOJ requires vendors to keep running the ammunition eligibility check as usual.
Order Payment Processing:
Your card will be authorized at order checkout but not charged until your eligibility check is processed and approved at pickup.
If the DOJ eligibility check is denied, your order will be canceled and your card authorization will be released.
California Eligibility checks
All CA customers will need to go through an eligibility check via the DoJ DROS Entry System (DES) before orders can be confirmed.
Orders will be processed, withdrawn from your account, and shipped only after an APPROVED returned eligibility check.

GENERAL NOTES
Order verification & compliance:
For orders shipping outside California, AmmoDyn fulfills ammunition orders in accordance with applicable federal and state laws. California orders (warehouse pickup or CA FFL transfers) are processed with the California DOJ ammunition eligibility check and applicable state fees at pickup.
Product scope of current inventory:
Our current inventory consists of standard, non-armor-piercing ammunition and excludes rounds that are restricted or prohibited in many jurisdictions (e.g., armor-piercing handgun ammunition, Teflon-coated handgun bullets, and dragon’s-breath, bolo, or flechette shells).
Regulatory notice:
Laws and regulations are subject to change. Customers are responsible for ensuring their purchases comply with all applicable federal, state, and local requirements. AmmoDyn monitors legal changes and updates this page when new statutes, regulations, or binding court decisions take effect, and reserves the right to cancel any order that appears—or is determined to be—non-compliant.
